Job Description

Our ideal candidate is a seasoned, creative communicator with experience in both content creation and social media campaigns. You will demonstrate superior writing skills while performing well under pressure and with the utmost professionalism while engaging all stakeholders with innovative content. Key ResponsibilitiesContent Management

  • Develop content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to plan and develop website content
  • Create and publish engaging content to all brand channels
  • Edit, proofread, and improve associates’ contributions
  • Liaise with team to ensure consistent brand tone
  • Optimize content according to SEO guidelines; including blog writing
  • Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic
  • Develop an editorial calendar and ensure content team is on board
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and generate innovative creative content ideas to draw attention
Social Media
  • Establish and own a comprehensive social vision (paid and organic) and voice across all channels
  • Create, maintain and execute a strategically driven content calendar across all social media platforms and manage the day-to-day process of posting, scheduling, and community management
  • Develop social KPIs and report on monthly, and quarterly insights and analytics
  • Use social media management and analytics tools to measure growth and engagement and adjust based on results for all social media projects
  • Meet and exceed KPIs by building out monthly growth and engagement reports
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or related field
  • 2+ years experience in a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of social media outlets with a good understanding of KPIs and community management
  • Adept at keyword placement and SEO best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with popular content management systems
  • Creativity and the ability to develop original content that provokes engagement
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • A high degree of business acumen, sophistication, and the ability to establish trust
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s license and access to a reliable motor vehicle for occasionally travel
  • Skills in photography, audio/video editing is considered an asset
