This is a full-time permanent position based out of Rockstars unique game development studio in Oakville.WHAT WE DO

• The Design Team creates moments of exciting action gameplay, ultra-real slices of ambient life, and everything in between, implementing many of the complex systems that underpin our worlds.
• Our content spans many genres and types of gameplay. Our designers bring their wide knowledge of gaming, game design and outside culture to make every aspect of our games world class.
• We assume responsibility for programming our content and systems, creating scripts which are often complex and intricate - both for single player and Online games.
• Creative thinking is an important part of what we do, and while we work to design briefs, designers have many opportunities to shape our games from the ground up.
• We work closely with all departments in the company, bringing together narrative, art, code systems, UI, networking, animation, audio and many other elements to create immersive gameplay.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage communication channels, keeping the Design team connected to all other teams, departments, and disciplines.
• Work with Design Production to keep the Design team linked to project schedules and priorities.
• Assign and deadline tasks.
• Help document information from a variety of sources, in the form of meeting notes, design docs, project updates, emails and presentations.
• Collate and create Design documentation across multiple software packages as well as Confluence.
• Assist with internal testing of Design content and features.
• Liaise with QA teams on Design feature test status and reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of one-year experience in Quality Assurance, Project Management, or other related position.

SKILLS

• Exceptional, confident communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with MS Office.
• Ability to take complex instruction well but confident with being proactive and using initiative.
• Candidates must be highly motivated, organized, personable and able to work exceptionally well as part of a team.

• Experience with bug tracking software.
• Knowledge / experience with Perforce or other version control software.
• Bachelors degree in Game Design, Software Development, Production, or a related field.
• Passion for video games.
