Job Description

Levitt-Safety has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team in Oakville, ON.Your role will involve diverse maintenance and repair activities including:

  • Inspecting, repairing, and providing maintenance of vehicle fire suppression systems and other types of Fire & Life Safety Equipment at various customer sites
  • Conducting life safety inspections and audits, with value-add suggestions for follow-up and maintenance
  • Performing site-specific training for owners and end-users
  • Being the Face of Levitt-Safety for our customers and their onsite safety needs

Qualifications:
  • Mechanically inclined and eager to learn and build a career in a hands-on technician role in the service industry
  • Experience working in a mechanical shop or equivalent hands-on role with vehicles or other motorized equipment is a strong asset, but not a requirement for an eager individual who wants to learn
  • Basic electrical knowledge and mechanical aptitude with experience working with power and hand tools
  • Experience, education, or training & working with fire protection and/or suppression systems is a strong asset
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Able to work with technology and mobile devices
Physical Safety RequirementsThis is a physically demanding and safety-sensitive role involving various types of equipment and work environments. As such the following are core requirements for this role:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted, coupled with good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Physically able to work in restricted or confined workspaces, including using ladders and walkways on large equipment
  • Able to pass pre-employment and periodic drug and alcohol testing as well as criminal background checks
  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required as part of our pre-employment checks, subject to requirements for accommodation.
