Job Description

Breakfast restaurant with daytime hours is looking for someone who can weekends and most holidays.

  • At times Function as the host/hostess of the restaurant. Ensuring customers are greeted in a friendly manner and sat at appropriate tables, taking into account flow, customer requests, table readiness and sections
  • Promptly clean tabletops and chairs with appropriate cloth and sanitizer. Check floor and clean as required.
  • Promptly clear tables after guests leave. Take tableware to side station and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing.
  • Reset and arrange tabletop (creamers/milkettes, sugar, syrup and ketchup)
  • Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to appropriate team member
  • Assist server as needed with clearing of plates, re-filling coffees etc.
  • May need to assist with dishwashing as required.
  • Maintain a neat and clean side station – clearing of plates, glassware etc.
  • Have a positive and cheerful attitude
  • Must be able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Requirements
  • Experience an asset
  • Must be comfortable wearing a mask and following COVID-19 safety protocols
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Personable and friendly attitude
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and in a team environment
  • Must be able to work weekdays and weekends
