As a student at PCL, you will get the opportunity for challenging work assignments in a supportive work environment which promotes personal and professional growth.We are seeking a Human Resources Student for our Toronto District in Oakville, Ontario within our Canadian Buildings Division that is available for a minimum of 4 months starting in January 2023.ResponsibilitiesAs a Human Resources Student and depending on your assigned project, here’s how you will contribute to the team:

  • Assists with the day-to-day management of Toronto’s co-op program which includes: Planning & organizing orientations, events, managing databases, prescreening, interviewing candidates), and working with the applicant tracking database.
  • Assists with policy research and development.
  • Assists with the preparation and set-up of various professional development events, which includes the tracking of professional development in the learning management system as required.
  • Coordinates and participates in career fairs.
  • Assists with the generation of various analytics reports and HR metrics.
  • Assists with the organization of Health & Wellness events.
  • Assists with various tasks and other special projects as required.
QualificationsWhat you will bring to the role:
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong willingness to learn.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan and organize work and time efficiently.
  • Ability to re-prioritize and respond to changing demands/focus.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of various computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook).
