Job Description

In the past 7 years, we’ve seen sustained growth, and have become an online digital brokerage.This is a full Account Manager role in our Personal Lines team. You will be servicing a book of business with the objective to retain and grow it. You will enjoy our team meetings, growth sessions and ongoing training classes so you can learn more, earn more, and contribute your ideas to the rest of the team.Your work will focus on 2 main lines of business: property insurance and auto insurance. There could be exposure to commercial insurance in the future.This is the perfect move if you are looking for career growth and think you have what it takes to manage a book of business. This role is for an already established broker that is looking for new challenges or the opportunity to earn more.   • Manage a book of business - renewals, endorsements, provide expert advice, prepare insurance quotes and sell, upsell and/or cross sell insurance policies, get referrals to help grow the portfolio
  • Understand insurance companies’ portals including: Intact, Aviva, Economical (Definity), Travelers, Chieftain, Pembridge, Echelon, Pafco, Jevco among others.
  • Accurately read and interpret MVR, Autoplus and HITS reports
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience at every interaction
  • Deliver on special projects meant to help our growth, help implement new systems and tools etc.
  • Be enthusiastic and curious when dealing with people and helping them get what they need
  • Be willing to learn and complete the training programs
You Need:
  • A RIBO license. CAIB and/or CIP is a bonus
  • Min 5 years of experience as a broker
  • University or College degree
  • Willingness to learn and improve - we are a learning organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Enthusiasm dealing with customers
