Pearson is listed on both the London and New York stockexchanges (UK: PSON; NYSE: PSO).ResponsibilitiesPearson VUE is seeking a Temporary part- time Lead Test Administrator for our (Oakville, Ontario) location.SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:Our ideal candidate demonstrates flexibility and teamwork.Available and willing to travel to other locations. This is strictly a part-time position and will remain as suchAbility to work 10 to 15 hours per week with an expectation to work more hours as neededEmployees must be available to work various shifts between the hours of 6:30 am to 7 pm various shifts as scheduled, any day Monday through Friday. Saturday hours are 6:30 am to 7pm.Starting pay $17/hr.Please note this is a temporary position that will go through the end of September, 2022.The Lead Test Administrator position is responsible for providing a secure exam delivery andsuperior customer service in a comfortable friendly environment.Performs on-time site opening and closing proceduresUnderstands all testing proceduresChecks in examinees, verifies identification, and explains the exam processMonitor’s examinees while testingMaintains a secure testing environmentCommunicates with internal technical support to investigate and fix technical issuesStrictly adheres to company policies using careful judgmentResponsible for maintaining a professional and clean testing center with light housekeeping dutiesArrive on time for all scheduled shiftsOther duties as assigned:In addition, the Lead Test Administrator is responsible for administrating all aspects of testing operations and provides team leadership to ensure the adherence to strict operational policies of the examination processes and security measuresSubmit draft of staffing schedule to ManagerAssist with training and coaching to new hireQualifications - ExternalOne year plus of customer service experience preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelors degree or equivalent business experience preferredPrevious team lead/supervisory experience and testing environment experience preferredStrong communication and customer service skills are a must, delivered with focused attentiveness and moderate interactionMust be flexible in work hours and daysAbility to complete all tasks in a timely and efficient manner, and handle a reasonable amount of stressIntermediate experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows applications, Internet, and emailAbility to operate a computer, fax, and telephoneAbility to lift to 20 lbs on occasion. Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time while escorting candidates back and forth, up to 50-100 times per scheduled shift, to and from the testing room. Must have the ability to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to bend, stoop & lift from a stooped position.Must be able to work in a quiet, focused environment and hear spoken words in soft voicesAbility to see names clearly on id cards and the computer screen. Must be able to see small details at a distance.
