Job Description

Essential duties, responsibilities and requirements include but are not limited to the following:

  • Preventative maintenance covering all production machinery and other capital equipment
  • Supporting production and repair equipment when equipment breaks down
  • Troubleshooting issues and resolve them as quickly as possible
  • Keeping spare parts inventory needed to maintain machinery and equipment
  • Helping with plant expansion and installation of new equipment.
  • Maintaining safety standards in area of responsibility as well as provide direction towards plant-wide safety requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with various government regulations including but not limited to Environmental, Health and Safety, Building Codes, TSSA and Electrical Codes.
Position Requirements:
  • Manufacturing facility background is an asset
  • Minimum 2-3 years in a maintenance role
  • Must ensure that health and safety requirements are being met, housekeeping rules, legislation and guidelines, quality standards, and standard operating procedures are followed
  • Plumbing, welding, millwright and electrical experience are assets
  • Plumber or electrician is an asset
  • Plastic welding experience is an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Technologist/Technical Education background
  • University or College diploma with technical focus an asset
