Job Description

Overview:The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial integrity of Idemia Identity and Security, Canada along with serving as a business partner with line leadership to enable key process improvements and business growth initiatives. The Finance Manager will also be responsible for working closely with the Business Line Leadership to provide financial insight and reporting on the performance of Canada. Ensures Canada fullfils all its obligations in a timely and economic manner in accordance with the Company’s policies and goals. This position will manage project accounting recording process. The selected candidate will also provide reports for both internal and external audit requests.The primary responsibilities of this position is to accurately report financial information well as gather, track, analyze, and report metrics relating to key initiatives and projects. This position will be required to develop and provide consolidated reporting for multiple projects and financial / operational contacts within the organization.Responsibilities:Essential Job Functions (includes but is not limited to):

  • Analyze and reporting of financial information for assigned projects using GAAP and IFRS standards
  • Report to Corporate using TM1 in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Identifies differences in TM1 local and consolidated numbers
  • Ensures Quickbase is reconciled with Great Plains
  • Manages team
  • Monitoring labor, materials purchased and partner payment fees
  • Ensures contract terms are followed in liaison with VP/CFO
  • Updates project information in the Project Cost Accounting Systems
  • Identifies and communicates monthly variances for both earnings & revenue compared to prior month and budget
  • Review of journal entries
  • Actively participates in P&L reviews
  • Utilizes effective listening skills in order to understand project requests and implement creative solutions to support project requests as well as identify and communicate problems in a diplomatic fashion to Management and Project Managers.
  • Client specific reporting required per contract
  • Maintain detailed schedules of unbilled receivables
  • Participates in Budget Process
Note: In addition to the Essential Functions, also performs similar work-related duties as assigned. Duties may change by Direction of the VP/CFOQualifications:Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Specify particular qualities and attributes a candidate needs to perform the job, i.e. leadership, teaming, Project accounting experience a plus but GL analytical skills required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel skills to include (Pivot Tables, H Lookup, V Lookup, Goal Seek, If function, Get Pivot Data)
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Understanding of financial terms related to software development.
  • Excellent customer service attitude, communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong PC skills including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to make timely and sound decisions.
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
  • BS/BA Degree – In accounting or finance Master Degree a plus
  • CPA designation a plus
  • 5 + years’ experience in a software development environment
Travel Requirement, Working Conditions and Physical Demands:Travel requirement, such as:
  • Ability to travel locally for activities such as meetings, classes, and workshops.
  • Must be able to travel occasional by air as needed to attend training, conferences, and related activities.
  • Occasional overnight travel, domestically and internationally, as required; should not exceed 10% of the time
