In this position you will mainly: Load and unload trucks following established safety and environmental procedures; the main safety procedures are driver quarantine, secure trailer and safe tow-motor operation.Receive raw materials and components, recording any inaccuracies in the shipment or damaged containers or damaged goods, and stage those materials and/or components for efficient production.Store supply parts or finished goods in a timely and orderly manner, according to established storage and inventory control standards, e.g., Kanban, FIFO.Receive and complete shipping documents accurately and on time, entering needed information into inventory control computer systems, such as SAP.Work as product assembler as required.Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications: Secondary School Diploma or GED equivalent. Experience in light-assembly manufacturing. Experience with Safety requirements or procedures in a manufacturing setting. Knowledge of Continuous Improvement concepts and programs (e.g. 5-S). Ability to read Standard Work Instructions, Safety Instructions and Shipment records. Basic computer and arithmetic skills for inventory and shipment control. Written communications skills. Sound organizational skills, with attention to detail. Reliable Attendance Record.Applicants will be required to successfully complete a test for arithmetic and computer skills.Notes: Must be able to meet physical requirements for the safe operation of tow-motors and material moving equipment, including visual acuity, manual dexterity.Must be able to successfully complete required safety tow-motor operators license within the trial period provided by Article of the Collective Agreement.Must be able to successfully complete certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Spills Response.Shipper-Receiver – Material Handler Rate for all hours on the shift doing the materials-receiving work.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: From $21.72 per hourAdditional pay:
