Job Description

Instructor**Eye Level of Oakville, an internationally recognized after-school learning centre in Oakville, seeks experienced Math instructors.The instructor will tutor students from ages 3 to 16. All teaching materials will be provided. The instructor will work with students on an individual or small group setting. Must be flexible with changes in setting and time. This is a part-time, year-round position.Requirements

  • College student or above with major in Math
  • Proficient knowledge in Math(High School Math- Calculus, Function, Advanced Functions, Statistics,Data Management),all candidates will be tested in Math (up to G12) prior to the interview.
  • Ability to multi-task with good work ethics
  • Patience, enthusiasm, willingness to work with children
  • Hours can be discussed at the interview
  • Prior tutoring experience a plus
  • OCT Certification or Pursuing OCT Certification a plus
  • Satisfactory police check (before joining)
General Responsibilities
  • Report to the Centre Director
  • Provide appropriate academic coaching to students according to the Centre policies
  • Motivate and encourage students (incentives, certificates, etc.)
  • Discuss students’ progress with Centre Director after every session or end of business day
  • Provide written feedback to students
Job Types: Part-time, PermanentSalary: $16.00-$18.00 per hourAbility to commute/relocate:
  • Oakville, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Education:
  • Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
  • teaching: 1 year (preferred)
