Job Description

  • Assemble fabricated parts/units for Sumitomo gearbox products at floor stations.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.
  • Test units and identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repair as necessary.
  • Place and retrieve inventory from warehouse shelves.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings.
  • Ability to modify gearbox units to meet order requirements.
  • Ability to competently use a variety of measuring tools (micrometers, bore gauges, height gauge, etc.).
  • Quality oriented
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices.
  • Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances.
  • Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 Years of experience with industrial gearboxes and power transmission products.
  • Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing principals and 3S.
