Are you passionate about the patient care experience Are you friendly and out-going Would you like to join an ambitious team of eye care professionals If so, apply within!Bronte Village Eye Care is looking to a hire an enthusiastic Optometric Assistant (approximately 32 - 37 hours per week).The role is primarily for Front Desk and Pre-testing. However, there will be opportunity to expand into Optical Dispensing in a few months.We are seeking a friendly and energetic individual who works well in a team environment. Previous experience in Optometry or a Medical setting is a definite asset. However, we would consider any candidates who are fast learners, good communicators, out-going and team players. Excellent customer service skills are a must.Duties will include:-Answering a high volume of calls and taking accurate information-Scheduling appointments-Greet patients in a courteous and friendly demeanor-Faxing and following up with referrals-Invoicing and taking payment-Pre-testing patients (visual fields, auto-refraction, NCT and OCT)-Recalling patients for their appointments-Opportunity to expand into Optical Dispensing in a few months for suitable candidates***Flexibility to work extra hours when needed is required***We are a team and our staff is able to cover for each other when ill, on vacation, etc. We need someone who is somewhat flexible and also able to cover extra hours when needed.Hours may be subject to change but currently the hours are as follows:Tuesday 9am-7pm, Wednesday 9-3, Thursday 9-5, Friday 8:30-4:30, 1-2 Saturdays per month 9-2pm.We have a great location in Bronte Village steps away from Bronte Harbour.
