Date Posted:2021-10-20-07:00Country:CanadaLocation:LOC13049 1400 South Service Road West,Oakville,Ontario,L6L 5Y7,CanadaReporting to Supervisor, Processing, as the Process Technician - Grit Blast, you will be responsible for maintaining the schedule for grit blast on all programs.Shift Hours- First Shift 4X10 (Monday– Thursday– 2:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)Primary Responsibilities:Grit blasting of aircraft components in preparation for plating/paintingPart fixturing, loading and unloadingAct as a cross functional team member and support/perform masking for plating and other processing applications as requestedParticipate in lean initiatives (i.e. 5S, TPM, process improvement teams)Communicate and co-ordinate priorities and process issues between operators and shiftsObserve and adhere to all safety policies and proceduresPerform other duties as requiredBasic Qualifications :Minimum Grade 12 diploma along with 2 years previous experiencePrior grit blast machining experience would be considered an asset.Demonstrated ability to lift 40 lbsStrong understanding of WHMISDemonstrated ability to work as a cross-functional employeePrevious formal crane training is requiredSuccessful candidate must meet requirements under ITAR and CCGPCollins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
