Date Posted:2021-10-20-07:00Country:CanadaLocation:LOC13049 1400 South Service Road West,Oakville,Ontario,L6L 5Y7,CanadaReporting to the Supervisor, as the Process Technician, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the shot peening process as required.Shift – Weekend Days (Friday - Sunday – 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.)Primary Responsibilities:

  • Shot peening aircraft components during the manufacturing process;
  • Shot peen parts per process techniques, operation sketches and special handler instructions, to include, but not limited to loading/unloading of shot peen machines and airflow, intensity and pressure techniques
  • Read OP sketches and work instructions to identify with requirements
  • Maintain acceptable production, quality levels, and departmental equipment, as well as practice safety in the workplace and maintain good housekeeping
  • Utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications :
  • Minimum requirements include Grade 12 diploma or equivalent with 2+ yrs of outside experience
  • At least 2 years of related manufacturing experience
  • Previous formal crane training required
  • Demonstrated experience with shot peening would be considered an asset
  • Strong PC skills
  • Demonstrated experience in material handling and hoist operations required
  • Must be in good physical condition and be able to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to work well in a team
  • Must be ITAR and CCGP compliant
  • Ability to work a weekend night shift (Friday – Sunday – 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.)
