BMI fosters leadership by connecting Black youths, professionals, and entrepreneurs at different stages of professional growth with industry experts through a unique mentoring program. BMI exists to elevate professional advancement through mentorship, education, and skills-building, thus building a better, more equitable workforce.The mentorship program aims to bridge the gap and mentor access experienced within the Black and BIPOC professional community. BMI is dedicated to addressing these challenges by providing an inclusive mentorship program to foster the growth, empowerment, and career development of Black people. BMI provides education, skill building, resources, networking, and strong community support to enable participants to achieve their definition of success, eradicating systemic barriers and thus, creating diverse leaders.Job SummaryThe Project Coordinator provides critical support to the mentor-mentee journey by coordinating Black Mentorship Inc.s (BMI) programs and events. The Ideal candidate will help promote equity and foster leadership by supporting the BMI’s program participants and events. These events and programs are designed to educate mentees, build skills, and raise awareness for our organization to attract the right program participants. The selected candidate will primarily coordinate our Halton Propel Mentorship program, which pairs black professionals in the Halton region with mentors. The project coordinators role and responsibility will ensure excellence in project execution and manage small to large projects. The candidates responsibilities in this role include accurately calculating total costs associated with all developments, sourcing estimates, securing contracts, and managing projects while working closely with and reporting to other members of our BMI team, providing stability and strategic support.Responsibilities:
