Job Description

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in one or several of the following areas: in Engineering, Operations Management, Construction Management, Field Services, Turnkey Projects, Operations and Maintenance in the Oil and Gas and/or Power Generation industries
  • 5-7 years applicable experience and demonstrated success in Field Service Project Management or Technical Direction and/or Proposal Development in Oil and Gas and/or Power Generation industries
  • Strong knowledge of industrial equipment including rotating and reciprocating compressors, steam and gas turbines and control systems with focus on Field Service and Equipment Overhauls
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, writing, and proofreading skills
  • Ability to work and lead multiple concurrent engagements simultaneously, with special attention to the deadlines and quality of the proposals
  • Travel may be required up to 10%
Your responsibilities
  • Successfully lead the proposal development process for the completion of Field Service proposals on time, in line with customer requirements, and in compliance with all Siemens Energy policies and guidelines while managing projects with cross-functional teams (legal, product, sales, services, finance, etc.)
  • Receive and review RFx (Requests for Proposal, Quotation, Information, etc.), work scopes and associated forms and supporting paperwork for modification/upgrade implementation, inspection and overhaul
  • Lead development of the proposal, beginning with Kickoff Meeting to identify customer’s project requirements and communicate roles, responsibilities and internal deadlines, and including Scope of Work, Execution Strategy, Key Assumptions, Exclusions, Risk Assessment and Mitigation strategy, Financial Analysis and any other critical info
  • Utilize web-based proposal development system to enter manpower and subcontractor data, evaluate results to produce estimated project costs and pricing, and write technical and commercial proposals with detailed exceptions and clarifications, where necessary in response to a customer RFx
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records, including proposals, schedules and opportunity information/status
  • Prepare comparison of current and previous estimates and actualized project costs
