Job Description

KMT The Learning Group, a growing private practice clinic in Oakville, specializing in mental health and psychological services is seeking a highly qualified Psychological Associate/ Psychotherapist (Full-time and part-time) to join their interdisciplinary team responsible for the delivery of psychological assessment for WSIB, EAP and Physician referrals and develop report and treatment plans for children, youths, and adults. Our practice is supervised by a group of psychologists and psychiatrists.Psychological Associates/Psychotherapists will conduct assessments, treatment plans, and reports to provide accurate and effective diagnoses. The selected candidate will provide psychotherapeutic intervention and treatment services to assist clients to achieve a healthy and safe understanding of strengths and limitations. Working with comorbid diagnosis, as well as WSIB and EAP clients.Psychological Associates/Psychotherapists will use demonstrated skills and experience in neuropsychology, psychology, social work, or rehabilitation therapy and knowledge of best practices to provide consultation, assessment, and treatment services to children, adults, and injured workers. Utilizing strong assessment, interpretative, written, and communication skills. The Psychological Associates/ Psychotherapists may be actively involved in both the diagnosis, intervention and treatment process of our clients.Qualifications

  • MA in Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology, Counselling or Social Work
  • Registration with College of Psychologists of Ontario or reputable regulatory body in Counselling and Assessment field
  • Experience in school psychology/rehabilitation/health psychology
  • Experience assessing and treating a variety of diagnoses (e.g. trauma, depression, anxiety, and stress, etc.) and providing interventions, including CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and other modalities
  • Experience assessing a variety of neurological problems including acquired brain injury (Neuropsychology) an asset
  • Experience working within a third-party payer system (e.g. WSIB) an asset
