Job Description

Are you passionate about driving quality and continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment At Thermon Oakville, we are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor to lead our QA Program and ensure compliance with the highest industry standards, including ISO 9001, ASME, and CSA. This role is perfect for a leader who thrives in collaboration and innovation, committed to quality at every level. What You Will DoQuality Control:

  • Coordinate work assignments for QC inspectors with the QC Supervisor.
  • Ensure accuracy of inspection and testing records.
  • Monitor shop floor performance and liaise with customers, third-party inspectors, and regulatory agencies (TSSA).
Quality Assurance:
  • Maintain and ensure the adequacy of QA/QC records per company manuals.
  • Develop and review inspection and testing plans (ITPs).
  • Implement corrective actions for non-conformities and customer complaints.
  • Ensure compliance with ASME and customer specifications.
  • Reconcile Material (C/MTRs) against ASME, RCC-M material requirements for Code and standards compliance and applicable customer specifications.
  • Maintain welder performance records and qualifications.
  • Prepare and assemble manufacturer #39;s data books (MDBs).
  • Participate in supplier audits and maintains an up-to-date approved supplier list (ASL).
Continuous Improvement:
  • Lead Kaizen initiatives and root cause analyses to solve problems and enhance processes.
  • Champion Lean practices and foster a culture of innovation across the organization.
Education and Qualification
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, with a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of welding and welding process; fabrication, pressure vessels (a plus).
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and preparing inspection test plans.
  • Keen attention to detail especially when reviewing documents.
  • Familiar with ASME Codes and Standards.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ASME III, VIII, CSA N299, and N285 (a plus).
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and AutoCAD.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
Work Environment:
  • A combination of office and 20% on-the-shop floor activities.
  • Occasional travel (~less than 20%) to suppliers #39; facilities.
