Job Description

Join our TEAM at Jump Start Gymnastics, in Oakville Ontario! We are a growing gym looking to hire awesome coaches for our recreational programs!Qualifications:Ideal candidates will possess the following qualities and certifications:

  • N.C.C.P. Foundations Certified/Level 1 Full Certification (Required or willing to obtain - courses available)
  • Competition 1/Level 2 Artistic (an asset or willing to obtain)
  • N.C.C.P Level 1 & 2 Trampoline Certified (an asset or willing to obtain)
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Respect in Sport
  • Happy, positive, fun personality
  • High energy/enthusiastic/active/hard working
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual, team player
  • Experience working with children preferred
  • Experience teaching gymnastics to children ages 18 mo to teen preferred
  • Available to work min 2 evenings (until 9pm) and 1 day on the weekend (consistent weekly schedule)
  • Daytime, weekday classes may be available for some applicants
  • Able to read, use tablet, take attendance on CRM software program
  • Gymnastics experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
  • Follow all COVID protocols in place
  • Follow all rotation schedules and complexes provided
  • Learn the skills, techniques, complexes and curriculums
  • Teach gymnastics, trampoline and or tumbling to children ages 18 mos - 5 yrs and or 6-13 yrs using safe, fun, planned lessons with good technique and progressions
  • Conduct testing in real time, 4x per year, accurately, enter levels, complete positive constructive comments on report cards
  • Attending/participate in all scheduled meetings and clinics
  • Be resourceful, looking up ideas for drills, games, Conditioning, etc
  • Attend all company events as required
