The functional responsibilities include Capacity oversight, Continuous Improvement and cost reduction initiatives, and strategic deployment of planning enhancement tools to support the long term strategy of the Materials Management team.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Consolidate all critical Plan-Do-Act action items from the Demand, Supply, monthly Master Production Schedule to support Capacity Review
  • Provides oversight to ensure all actions needed to support the 36 months capacity plan are formally documented, actioned, and closed out within a timely manner.
  • Establish a Capacity Review to assess headcount, tooling, machinery, and overall CAPEX requirements needed to support the 36-month operational plan
  • Coordinate all internal and external offload/in load initiatives by supporting monthly SIOP Constrains meeting with all relevant stakeholders and getting the right approval to process with it
  • Act as the support Oakville focal for all capacity related matters for both internal and external purposes
  • Identify root cause of variances to planned labor and machine Productivity and standard vs. actual results
  • Develop monthly site capacity plan to support the input to the regional Landing Gear SIOP Quarterly Capacity Summit
  • Work on any adhoc request regarding capacity management
  • Proactively bring ideas and new processes to ensure systems alignment and improve overall productivity
  • Participate in activities to include 5S, Kaizen, and other related continuous improvement events.
  • Track and report key performance indicators and proactively identify appropriate actions to close gaps and to drive continuous improvement
  • Support achievement of CORE activities, as required
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Management and 5 years of relevant experience OR
  • Advance degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Experience with SIOP
  • Previous SAP experience necessary.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all MS office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS degree in Supply Chain / Logistics / Materials Management preferred
  • APICS CPIM Certification preferred
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency knowledge using VBA (MS Office Excel)
