Job Description

Naylor Building Partnerships Inc. is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Oakville.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Perform various Month end tasks and assist in preparing Monthly financial reports.
  • Perform account reconciliations on a daily basis ( e.g. Bank, credit cards)
  • Post journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and other on-going transactions
  • Assist in preparation of weekly cashflow forecasts and daily bank balance reports
  • Reconcile various Balance sheets and controls accounts to subledger on a monthly basis.
  • Reconcile and update intercompany account.
  • Assist in year-end preparations for all companies and provide support to the external auditors
  • Assist with government remittances for all companies (EHT, HST, WSIB, and corporate taxes) and maintain schedule of payments.
  • Coordinating insurance documentation required for subcontractors and customers (i.e. WSIB clearance certificates, certificates of insurance, contractor qualification packages, bonding requests etc.).
  • Maintaining records and expenses for fleet vehicles (i.e. new vehicle purchases, leases, accidents, gas card accounts etc.) and coordinate yearly vehicle license renewals.
  • Other accounting and administrative tasks as required.
Education/ Experience:
  • University Degree or College Diploma with a focus in Accounting or related field
  • 1 - 3 years related accounting experience considered an asset
  • CPA PEP Program
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS office and with various accounting software programs
  • Ability to multitask in a busy office environment
