In addition to a continuing flow of interesting and challenging projects for global pharmaceutical and biotech companies, Eurofins CDMO Alphora Inc. is committed to growing its state-of-the-art organization, with continued investments in its people, modern facilities, equipment, and instrumentation.Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:The Warehouse Technician Level II is accountable to the Team Leader, Warehouse for the control of materials within Alphora’s cGMP Warehouse including raw materials, intermediates, finished products and waste streams. This position will coordinate the transfer of material’s and equipment’s between Alphora’s Portland and Speakman locations and will also fill in for the Warehouse Technician – Speakman role as and when required.The Warehouse Technician is a role with limited direct supervision.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow Environmental, Health and Safety rules/regulations and report any workplace incidents, injuries or accidents immediately.
• Adhere to policies and guidelines set out in the Alphora Employee Handbook.
• Work harmoniously with all fellow employees
• Receipt, Quarantining and Sampling of cGMP raw materials
• Handling of In-process waste
• Submission of raw material samples to Quality Control
• Shipping of materials, equipment’s via courier between Alphora’s sites
• Shipping activities of materials/finished products via courier
• Cleaning and housekeeping of the Warehouse, Sampling and Plant facilities
• Adherence to all relevant EHSPs, GLI’s, GAP’s and SOP’s
• Staging of raw materials for cGMP Operations
• Prepare the warehouse for audits
• Other duties as assigned
• Participate in SOPs, cGMP and HS&E training sessions
• Responsible for complying with schedules operations activities

COMMUNICATION AND CONTACTS:Within the Company

• Interact with all personnel throughout Alphora to ensure the timely and safe execution of processes

Outside of the Company

• Interact with cGMP clients as required
• Interact with various agencies as needed (i.e. environmental compliance, Insurance, WHMIS, HPB/FDA, municipal officials, public utilities, etc.)

Qualifications

• Minimum of College Diploma or Degree
• 3-5 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing facility preferably in a cGMP environment
• Experience handling chemicals
• Experience working with API or formulation pharmaceutical processing equipment, or related experience in food, cosmetics or specialty chemicals
• Flexibility to adapt to and perform continental shift work
• Knowledge and ability to operate computerized equipment
• Good verbal and written English communication skills
