Job Description

Unlimited Safety Services LTD. is seeking courageous, dedicated and skilled individuals to join our elite team of Industrial Firefighters.   • When not out working remotely, you will be housed at a working fire department. If you would like to work while at the station, a secondary contract with Fire Rescue International, will be required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Responding to fire alarms, hazardous material incidents and other emergencies within the industrial settings.
  • Preforming firefighting, rescue and life-saving operations tailored to industrial environments.
  • Collaborating effectively with industrial safety teams and emergency responses units.
  • Participating in specialized training and continuing education programs
  • Participate in Safety Meetings with emphasis on hazards.
  • Preform required duties at station and on site as per Unlimited Safety Services LTD. policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining firefighting equipment and apparatus.
  • Operate company owned vehicles safelyand conduct pre/post trip inventories and maintenance
  • Work effectively as part of a team in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Complete required fire and rescue training courses
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Prerequisites:
  • Minimum grade 12 or equivalent
  • NFPA 1001 Lvl Iamp; II
  • NFPA 472 or 1072 ( Hazardous material awareness and Hazardous materials operations)
  • CPR/AED Lvl C
  • H2S Alive
  • CSO ( Common Safety Orientation )
  • Emergency Medical Responder with ACP ( Required for Full-Time status )
  • Class 3Q or Provincial Equivalence ( Required for Full-Time status )
  • 5 Year Clean Driver’s Abstract
  • Strong physical fitness and the ability to perform strenuous tasks under demanding conditions.
  • Willing to report for work within 30 days of acceptance.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to commute to both of our stations ( Onoway and Alberta Beach )
Preferences:
  • Previous experience as Firefighter/Medic
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry
  • NFPA 1006 – Technical Rescue
  • NFPA 1002 – Apparatus Driver/Operator.
