We #39;re looking for a mission-driven Coordinator, Outreach Come to Work who is passionate about creating more accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities across Canada where people with low vision have unlimited opportunities and can experience life free from barriers and discrimination.Your Impact at CNIB

  • Lead the design, planning and execution of all outreach activities to businesses related to CNIB #39;s Come to Work Program #39;s employer outreach.
  • Engaging with businesses in the industries that the Talent Pool are actively seeking to work in.
  • Steward existing Partners who have engaged to sustain and grow regional and national partners.
  • Regular follow up with potential and current partner participants by phone, email and in person.
  • Respond to program inquiries as well as capture management tools.
  • Conducts research on a variety of topics as required.
  • Work with talent pool members in the later stages on job retention for their chosen industry.Focus on skills needed to be successful as shared by the employers who are looking to hire.
  • Provide bi-weekly updates of Partner Engagements Targeted, executed, and cultivated for Talent Pool engagement with Program Leads/Coordinators.
  • Develop and deliver workshops for the talent pool and networking events for the talent pool and employment partners.
  • Participate in CNIB conferences and events where applicable.
  • Lead and deliver special projects as required.
  • Regularly attend and participate in team meetings.
  • Ensure regular updates of interactions, program campaigns, etc. are captured in Salesforce.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and new developments in programming for people who are blind, and proactively bring forward ideas on how to improve all aspects of the work we do, including seeking opportunities to improve employer and participant outcomes.
RequirementsWho you are:Education and Certifications
  • Minimum post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Six (6) months of Community/Partner/Stakeholder cultivation experience.
  • Proven time management and organization skills; amenable to changing priorities, deadlines, and procedures.
  • Advanced computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office software including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Proficiency/working knowledge of Salesforce an asset.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills – English.
  • Customer service oriented with well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in reporting on government or administrative projects, an asset.
  • Professional attitude, results oriented, self-directed, and flexible.
  • Demonstrates mature and sensitive nature, as well as emotional and social stability when dealing with the needs of persons experiencing sight loss and other functional challenges.
  • Proven knowledge of existing programs and program providers to establish/re-establish working relationships is an asset.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to travel independently within the region via public transit, car, or ride-share.
  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
  • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
