We truly love to help our clients grow and this is a position where you can grow too!The Opportunity:We are seeking a passionate, results-oriented, and innovative Controller to provide ownership of financial and accounting operations.In this capacity you will have oversight of our audit functions, financial reporting and contribute to the scaling of the organization by playing a key role in executing on our growth strategy.What you will do:

  1. Financial Controls
    • Lead the accounting function and work closely with our VP, Finance and CEO
    • Own and manage the monthly financial statement close process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of the financial statements, and ensure filing/reporting compliance with key internal and external stakeholders
    • Responsible for monitoring and oversight of the internal control processes, completing and coordinating financial audits with external auditors, and completing working papers for tax preparation
  1. Reportingamp; Analytics:
    • Responsible for overall regulatory reporting including ongoing improvements and alignment with regulatory changes.
    • Work closely with the VP, Finance and the business to create and track critical KPIs and metrics to track and monitor overall business performance.
    • Provide strategic support to senior leadership including preparation of the financial aspects of the quarterly board packages, leadership meetings, and ad hoc information as required.
  1. Projectsamp; Initiatives
    • Design, consult and facilitate implementation of procedures and processes to improve and streamline operational transactions and financial reporting;
    • Evaluate financial reporting systems and processes; recommend alternatives to improve reporting and consolidation processes (increased automation, dynamic data, etc.).
    • Implement management reporting improvement and KPIs for operating company performance tracking.
    • Provide oversight and direction for the financial inputs and impact from all peripheral systems used throughout the organization; SAGE, Power BI
What you need:
  • Completion of a recognized professional designation (CPA preferred)
  • 5-10+ years of related finance and accounting experience.
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
  • Demonstrated success in a change environment, and ability to achieve consensus within Finance and Operations groups.
  • System-oriented accountant, likely at the Controller level in another organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly in Excel, Power BI and data analytics.
