Manufacturing Engineer - Orillia, ON Our client in Orillia, ON is looking for hardworking, motivated talent to join their team. If you #39;re a Manufacturing Engineer with experience in implementing Lean-Six Sigma methodologies, then look no further, this role was created for you! The perks:

The Role:
  • Provide day-to-day engineering support to production by troubleshooting production processes, equipment and machinery
  • Liaising with production, procurement, quality, maintenance and design engineering to resolve technical problems and to identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Process rework and scrap reports, coordinated corrective action procedures
  • Lead cross functional teams to identify root causes to issues relating to production quality, performance, capacity and on time delivery
  • Develop metrics to track processes and analyzing their performance using statistical tools
  • Identify and lead development, specification, and implementation of capital expenditure projects for new and existing processes that support continuous improvement
  • Manage all capital project deliverables involving design, selection, purchase, installation and commission of new equipment
  • Develop and implement engineering solutions in order to optimize and continuously improve manufacturing processes in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability, and Efficiency
  • Represent production in terms of Man, Machine, Method, Material aspects of the operations throughout new product introduction process ensuring final engineering designs are optimized for manufacturing
  • Review and as necessary design, modify and procure new jigs and fixtures, tooling, equipment and machinery in support of special, new and redesigned products
  • Implement process improvements to reduce material and labor cost, scrap, rework and excess inventory
  • Champion Lean-Six Sigma methodology implementation and lead Kaizen projects
  • Manage various Value Streams to ensure customers receive maximum value at company #39;s minimum costs
  • Perform Cycle Time and Line Balancing analysis to ensure customer take-time adherence and maximum efficiency
  • Observe production operations and implement new processes to reduce Non-Value-Added activities, bottlenecks, WIP, lead time and cycle time
You Bring:
  • Bachelor #39;s Degree Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or similar Engineering field, or accrual similar experience and education
  • Minimum Green Belt Certification in Lean and Six Sigma
  • Project Management Certification considered an asset.
  • Minimum 4 years of working experience as Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Industrial Engineer or similar role
  • Experience in managing large capital projects
