Creating places of belonging for Indigenous youth and children in care informs their identity, both where they came from and where they are going. The Family Connections team supports to (re)establish connections, (re)build connections for our children, youth and families who have been disconnected and to help children reclaim their permanent place as part of their extended family, community and culture.Children and youth will have better outcomes when they are supported wholistically, understand their own history, who they are as an individual and are surrounded by a natural support system that will be there for them through all stages of life. With the understanding that we are accountable to children and youth we serve our program aims to have well established connections that support child/youth into adulthood. PURPOSE OF THE POSITIONThe Reintegration Worker supports connection plans for children/youth in care. The role provides support to our service teams by working with our children/youth to connect them to lifelong meaningful relationships and back to their culture and community.The Reintegration Worker interprets Dnaagdawenmag Binnoojiiyag Childamp; Family Services policies and procedures and ensures Ministry standards are maintained while providing wholistic support to our children and youth.
