Job Description

Job DescriptionThis Co-Op will involve project work in the DEF/SCR team centred around the design, development, and testing of current and next-generation DEF/SCR systems! Proof of technology will be explored in a laboratory environment where component and sub-system performance is evaluated using HIL test benches, along with other instrumented methods and in-vehicle testing as needed.Key Responsibilities:

  • Design or development of concepts for hardware and HIL setups
  • Project management
  • Lab test set-ups and/or experimental evaluations of mechatronic systems
  • Prototype part and fixture design and procurement
  • Resolve test issues and failures, and recommend corrective actions
Additional Job DescriptionQualifications:
  • Pursuit of a Bachelors (3rd or 4th year) degree in the following areas: Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering
  • Eligible to work full-time (40 hours per week) in Canada and for 12 or 16-month term (3-4 consecutive semesters) starting September 2022
  • Must have a valid Class G Ontario Drivers Licence, or equivalent out-of-province licence!
  • Experience setting up instrumented tests, and design/build of HIL benches, including the use of data acquisition/analysis tools to interpret results and develop recommendations
  • Experience with the following software tools: UG (or other 3D modelling), MATLAB, Simulink, and Inca (data analysis)
  • The successful candidate will be required to attest to, and be prepared to provide proof of, their vaccination status and that any job offer will be conditional on the candidate being fully vaccinated
