Job Description

MPS Group has a Non-union Technician opening at GM Oshawa Assembly, Ontario, CanadaEssential Job Duties:

  • Manually sort various wastes to separate recyclable materials – includes heavy lifting and dismantling of some equipment with power tools
  • Forklift work - load/unload trailers, use rotator to dump waste into open top and compactor bins
  • Housekeeping of MPS areas - sweep floors, put away/organize equipment, clean up spills
  • Handle hazardous wastes using proper procedures and PPE
  • Drive tractor-trailers, move trailers in and out of loading docks
  • Load empty drums onto trailer by hand - stack drums up to 3 high
  • Participate in waste audits
  • May be required to work OT to follow customer production schedule
  • Follow all safety policies - wear required PPE, use equipment safely, participate in required training
Skill requirements:
  • Forklift experience
  • Valid G driver license
