Job Description

Master Scheduler Job SummaryThe Master Scheduler is responsible for analyzing operational data, improving scheduling efficiency, and driving strategic decision-making within our law enforcement vehicle upfitting business. This role ensures that production schedules align with business objectives, while leveraging analytics to optimize workflows, improve resource utilization, and enhance overall efficiency.Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in ERP system enhancements to improve scheduling accuracy and business intelligence.
  • Support forecasting and demand planning by analyzing historical trends and customer orders.
  • Monitor resource constraints such as labor availability, workstation capacity, production timelines and holiday attendance trends.
  • Develop and maintain efficient production schedules for vehicle upfitting projects and sub-assembly schedules.
  • Support forecasting and demand planning by analyzing historical trends and customer orders.
  • Evaluate production performance, capacity planning, and operational bottlenecks to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and data models to provide insights on scheduling efficiency, labor utilization, and material flow. Provide the data models and summaries to allow for management to more accurately identify needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve lead times, throughput, and supply chain coordination.
  • Communicate changes from schedules to all parties to tailor daily and weekly adjustments and communicate these changes internally
  • Coordinate with procurement, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of components.
  • Adjust schedules to accommodate rush orders, supplier delays, and shifting customer priorities and report to all internal clients and assist with resulting actions.
  • Ensure that custom vehicle modifications are scheduled to meet both quality and delivery expectations and remembering goals and delivering of customer promises.
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends to enhance decision-making.
Qualificationsamp; Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, production scheduling, or supply chain planning.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), Excel/SQL, Air Table and Navision Platform Systems
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations, production workflows, and process optimization.
  • Ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies for operations teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in automotive upfitting, fleet management, or law enforcement vehicle manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or APICS CPIM certification.
  • Understanding of automotive electrical and mechanical systems.
