Presently, over 2,000 area high school students are taking a dual credit program with Durham College.Durham College is seeking an experienced and motivated professional who shares our commitment to quality and student success. The Faculty of Liberal Studies requires a part-time professor to teach Landscape, Planning, Material & Construction Dual Credit. This course introduces the fundamental characteristics and use of many of the materials such as wood, concrete, concrete products, aggregates, stone, and geo textiles used in basic landscape construction projects as well as plant materials as they relate to softscaping projects.IMPORTANT NOTE FOR DUAL CREDIT PART-TIME FACULTY APPLICANTS:The Dual Credit program is a program that provides high school students with an opportunity to take a college credit while they are still attending high school. The winter semester begins the week of February 13, 2023.Part-time faculty teach up to 6 hours per week with varied schedules Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.Travel to high schools across Durham Region is required.The responsibilities of Durham College Part-time Professors include, but are not limited to:
