Job Description

French Teacher (FSL: Coreamp; Advanced).Note: candidates must be located/living in Ottawa or it #39;s immediate regions, or in the process of relocating to Ottawa, in order to be considered for this positionRole:

• Working with our High School student body (Grades 9 - 12).
• Following the Ontario Curriculum, with the enrichment components provided at St-Laurent Academy, you are responsible for ensuring our students are engaged, successful and building their skills in: French Second Language (Core andAdvanced levels).
• Growing developing, guiding, teaching, and inspiring students in all areas of French academicsamp; social/ environmental well-being.
• Lesson/Unit/Long Range planning, Lesson facilitationamp; Assessment Of, Foramp; As learning.
• Collaborating with a French Team of 2 High School specialists, as well as communicating and working alongside our Core/Homeroom teachers and Administration

Requirements:

• OCT Certified.
• B.Ed./ B.A in French Language
• Fully Bilingual.
• FSL Classroom Experience.
• Spec. Ed experiences an asset.
• Enrichment experience an asset.
• Experience sorcing and working with online French courses/programs (Example: TVO)
• Google Suite of Programs is important to the delivery of all our programs in-person and online (Google Classroom, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Meets and Google Readamp; Write).
• MUST currently live in Ottawa and/or the immediate surrounding area

• well versed in differentiation and instruction at all levels.
• working knowledge of IEPs.
• strength facilitating online and in-person.

• Opportunity to remain part of the team going forward.
• 7:50am - 3:30pm core time.
• 3:30 pm - 4:10 pm (1 - 2x per week facilitate a school club activity of choice/ what are you passionate about!).
• Maximum class size: 15.
