Hardware Integration EngineerOn behalf of our client, a software and appliance provider, we are seeking a Hardware Integration Engineer/Hardware Designer to work on current-generation and next-generation custom servers, with custom PCI blades and high-performance components.Primary Responsibilities:-Prime Hardware design for new products-Field support for existing hardware product line-Provide supply chain management support for existing custom printed circuit boards and hardware assemblies-Maintain and execute the current PCN / ECR process-Ensure product material compliance (RoHS, conflict minerals, etc)-Monitor and develop solutions for CVEs in hardware and firmware-Manage approvals testing for new hardware assemblies-Manage design subcontractor relationships (mechanical design, electrical design, branding, etc)-Develop near-hardware product software (drivers, POST, sensors, etc)Must Have:-Experience developing volume products with high-performance server components-Extensive experience with Linux as a developer or administrator-Familiarity with networking standards and components-Working with component vendors, design firms, and contract manufacturers-Familiarity with environmental standards and compliance testing-Previous experience with ERP/MRP systems and PCN (Product Change Notification)/ECR (Engineering Change Request) processes-Printed circuit board component selection, design, and layout-Embedded system firmware development-Mechanical or electromechanical design-Familiarity with customs, regulations, and licensing required for global product distributionDuration:PermanentLocation:Ottawa
