Job Description

Job DescriptionUnder the supervision of the maintenance supervisor, your main responsibilities will be to plan mechanical maintenance work and execute the preventive/predictive maintenance program for equipment under your responsibility.

  • Analyze the relevance and scope of all service requests, i.e. duration of work, resources required, subcontractors, material required, cost estimates, lead times, etc. ;
  • Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance;
-Produce the maintenance team #39;s daily schedule;-Adjust the maintenance plan according to production needs and maintenance priorities;-Plan machine availability with production teams or equipment users to minimize impact on operations;-Plan and organize major shutdowns and ensure proper allocation of human and material resources to minimize downtime;-Plan work so that it is carried out safely and in compliance with company OHS procedures and regulations;
  • Ensure that the required equipment and parts are available for preventive maintenance;
  • Support the purchasing and maintenance team in parts sourcing;
  • Ensure effective coordination of maintenance work to meet operational reliability requirements;
  • Create preventive and predictive task instructions on all existing equipment, as well as for new equipment added to the mobile fleet;
  • Ensure effective use of the work order management system;
  • Create profiles for new mobile fleet vehicles inquot;Maximo quot;, as well as for new containers;
  • Check that all maintenance requests are accompanied by a work order duly completed by the requester;
  • Add preventive maintenance plans toquot;Maximo quot;;
  • Check that invoicing is allocated to the right BT and that prices match;
  • Adjust hours and KM to work order (WO);
  • Monitor purchases related to all mobile equipment and inform managers when deadlines are not met or purchases do not comply with requests;
  • Validate that all work has been completed before closing work orders;
  • Follow up on purchase requisitions and receiving orders, and on work from external parts contractors;
  • Update equipment sheets;
  • Participate in resolving equipment problems. Attend various team meetings as required;
  • Improve equipment mechanical and hydraulic processes to increase efficiency;
  • Investigate/analyze equipment breakdowns or problem situations;
  • Perform all other related tasks.
