  • Morning: 6:00 AM 2:00 PM
  • Evening: 2:00 PM 10:00 PM
  • Night: 10:00 PM 6:00 AM
Job Type: Full-time / Part-timePosition Overview:We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our long-term care team. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being. The successful candidate will provide hands-on care and emotional support, while also assisting with mobility and personal hygiene. Strong communication and documentation skills are necessary for reporting on patient progress and maintaining accurate records.Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Support: Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Mobility Assistance: Help residents with walking, transferring between bed and wheelchair, and other mobility tasks as required.
  • Companionship: Offer emotional support and engage residents in meaningful conversations and activities to enhance their quality of life.
  • Documentation: Accurately document care provided, including any changes in condition or behavior, in line with facility protocols.
  • Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in residents #39; physical or mental health to the nursing team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with nurses, doctors, and other care team members to provide optimal care for each resident.
  • Hygieneamp; Infection Control: Ensure all hygiene practices are maintained and follow infection control procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
Job Requirements:
  • Completion of Personal Support Worker program
  • Previous experience in long-term care or a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
  • Ability to lift and assist with mobility, and perform physical tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow ethical guidelines.
  • Flexibility to work morning, evening, and night shifts as scheduled.
