The Role Thank you for applying for Production Associate position at CertainTeed Canada, Inc. Below is a brief information regarding our company and the position you are applying for. Please note that we do require clean police record and at least grade 12 graduate (A proof of diploma or higher education will be asked). You will be required to work 12 hour day shift and night shift, including weekend and holidays. Please let me know if you are interested. We will set you up for in person interview. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Associate is responsible for:selecting and packaging all finished products. Ensure that all packages are correctly labelled and have the correct number of pieces required. Always have safety in mind while performing duties.Operate different types of packaging equipment and know all associated safety procedures of each piece of equipment: Automatic and manual baggers, Roll up machine, Mulcher, Bag Sealers Other production equipment as required. Keep packaging area in a neat and tidy condition on a continual basis. Always be aware of the potential for product jam-ups and inform the qualified personnel. Maintain a basic knowledge of the go packer position in order to provide relief on a short-term basis. Assist with cleaning on P.M. days. Wage increases below:Production Associate - $21.42 / hr. starting wage. Packer Flex after 1,000 hours’ wage increases to $24.21 / hr. and boot allowance and uniforms. Sun Life Benefit package kicks in after 1,000 hours’. Packer after 3,000 hours or 18 months’ - pay increases to $26.48 Nightshift premium $1.70 / hr. Weekend premium $0.30 / hr.PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to spend a significant amount of time on plant floor. Job includes tasks that require walking, bending, twisting, gripping, stair climbing, lifting, and entering confined spaces.
