Job Description

Yorktown Search Partners is conducting a confidential search on behalf of multiple clients in the financial and professional services industries. We are seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Associate to enhance the digital presence of our confidential clients. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate social media management while working with leading firms in the investment and business services sectors.Position Details:

  • Location: Ottawa, ON (In-Office)
  • Hours: 20 hours per week (with potential for more)
  • Compensation: $17.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:Social Media Strategyamp; Planning
  • Assist in developing and executing social media strategies aligned with each clients goals and brand identity.
  • Create monthly content calendars tailored to the needs of multiple companies.
Content Creationamp; Management
  • Design and produce engaging social media content, including graphics, captions, and videos, for platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), and others.
  • Write clear, compelling, and brand-aligned social media copy.
  • Source and curate relevant industry content to enhance engagement and thought leadership.
Schedulingamp; Posting
  • Manage content scheduling and posting through platforms such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or native scheduling tools.
  • Ensure timely and consistent publishing aligned with the company #39;s marketing strategies.
Engagementamp; Community Management
  • Monitor social media accounts for comments, messages, and engagement opportunities.
  • Respond to inquiries and interact with followers professionally and strategically.
Analyticsamp; Reporting
  • Track and report on key social media performance metrics, including engagement, reach, and follower growth.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize content strategies.
Collaborationamp; Communication
  • Work closely with leadership and marketing teams to understand business objectives and translate them into social media initiatives.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activity, and social media best practices.
Qualificationsamp; Skills:
  • Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with strong attention to detail and visual storytelling abilities.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Interest in finance, business, and professional services is a plus.
