We are ranked as the 75th largest company in Saskatchewan and we are close to world class recreation with Lake Diefenbaker and are near city amenities.To learn more about who we are and how you can help bring our brand to life, visit us at www.riverbendco-op.crsRiverbend Co-op invites applications for the position of Health and Safety HR AdvisorWhat you’ll do:Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Health and Safety/HR Advisor will be responsible to work alongside the Co-op’s leadership to support them in all Health and Safety / HR matters, including:

  • Implementation of legislative & Riverbend requirements, procedures, and policies.
  • Compilation and verification of documentation including training certifications, incident reports, and investigations.
  • Guiding employees on safety related areas as well as audit documentation and ensure compliance with safety program requirements.
  • Assisting with orientation/onboarding of new hires and the training of employees and contractors.
  • Supporting Human Resources in areas related to Talent Acquisition and people practices.
The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects of varying complexity. The HS/HRA is responsible for ensuring the Co-op’s adherence to Health and Safety as well as Human Resource Legislation that support Riverbend Co-op’s vision, mission, and values.Why it matters:Our team provides a range of products and services to support our member-owners.   • You have a degree or certificate in occupational safety and health or a similar discipline.
  • You possess a minimum 2 years of related experience in Health and safety.
  • You have knowledge and interpretation skills of provincial employment and health and safety legislation
  • Self-motivated with good organizational capability, able to prioritize conflicting demands
  • Willingness to learn
  • Strong sense of ethics and ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with tact and discretion
  • You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
