Job Description

General TGMINTO is seeking an IT support technician. IT Support technician will provide first-level support with end-user both on-site and remote. Maintain servers, workstation, computer network hardware, software and performs upgrades.Assist users on computer/printer/network/scanner setup and connectivity issuesDuties and Responsibilities:

  • Installs, configures, modifies and tests computer hardware such as workstations, printers, installs and test software according to established procedures
  • Work with and resolve issues with peripherals such as scanners, time clocks, or any peripherals purchased and installed for production needs
  • Performs preventative maintenance of computer hardware systems and assists in server maintenance.
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to the requirement
  • Upgrade IT systems with a new release
  • Documenting the network’s configuration, manuals, and IT policies
  • Record, track, and document the problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions are taken, through to final resolution.
  • Provide helpdesk support via email, phone or desk side to clients, assisting them with resolving technical issues
  • Assign/escalate issues to appropriate IT Systems Support team
  • Mobile phone support
  • Support users in the use of computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice.
  • Working with other members of the IT organization to ensure timely resolution of employee issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware problems on behalf of employees
  • Develop training materials and procedures, and/or train users in the proper use of hardware and software.
  • Provide on-call, off-hours and weekend support as assigned to support the staff
Skills & Requirements:
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Completed computer-related course; professional certification (A+, Network+, CCNA is plus )
  • Capacity to form effective relationships with users
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Effective time management and multitasking skills
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and meet all deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule
