Job Description

DEPARTMENT: Strategic Initiatives / Economic Department and TourismREPORTS TO: Director of Economic Developmentamp; TourismGeneral Purpose:

  • This position will assist the Economic Development and Tourism Division in being a contact for visitor inquiries during the height of visitor season.
Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Provide information, support and engagement; data collection and tracking; event support (should public health allow), and social media engagement.
  • Actively engaging the visitor market in a subtle, supportive manner.
  • Provide administrative support to various Tourism initiatives.
  • Provide marketingamp; promotional support through organizing and maintaining promotional materials.
Knowledge/Skills Required:
  • Established computer skills and experience using software.
  • Understanding of key components of a successful visitor experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with self-direction, while contributing to larger team objectives.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the flexibility to meet changing demands.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work weekends.
  • Initiative to participate in positive, appropriate conversation at a professional level.
  • Ability to work remotely.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Outgoing and approachable demeanor.
  • Possesses exceptional verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of the communities within the County of Brant.
  • Valid class G or G2 driver’s license and use of a vehicle with acceptable driver’s abstract is required.
