We have a passion for growth, including investing in the development of our people.We support professionals looking for jobs with exceptional firms in the technology, construction and engineering sectors.Role DescriptionThe Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day running of the Canadian payroll, ensuring the procedures are correctly followed and that payments are accurately processed. Ensuring that all relevant data is entered so the clients/contractors are correctly invoiced/paid. Resolving invoice queries and liaising with other departments regarding tax liabilities.Principle Accountabilities:

  • Set up new starters, personal details, contract amendments and termination forms at the beginning of each week.
  • Process incoming timesheetsamp; expense claims ensuring they are correctly filed.
  • Adhere to relevant quality control checks before and after payroll processing.
  • Print the relevant payroll reports payslips, remittancesamp; invoices, and file systematically.
  • Submit relevant payroll information to the Finance team by the relevant deadlines.
  • Resolve any payroll queries from contractors via telephone, email or letter.
  • Liaise with Credit Controller and Billing teams to gather vital billing informationamp; assist with any queries.
  • Accurately record and maintain pay history records for foreign taxpayers and liaise with the Company Account to meet payment deadlines each month.
  • Analyse and record PAYE liabilities from the monthly payroll reports.
  • Liaise with Accounts for payment by the relevant deadlines.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
  • Previous experience working in a finance/payroll/ sales/purchase ledger/credit control environment is desired but not essential.
  • Solid understanding of Canadian employment standards.
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages.
  • Comfortable handling numbers and data with good attention to detail.
  • Organised to ensure adherence to strict deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
