Our client is currently seeking a Controller for a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing financial reports, taxation and compliance, while ensuring the integrity of financial data and systems, developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts.The Controller duties will include: •Overseeing the accounting operations and month end close activity •Overseeing purchasing activity, AP, treasury, and cash management •Preparation of financial reports for multiple entities•Accurate GL reporting, including subledger reconciliations•Spearheading the integration of processes and systems to support company growth•Performing the analysis and review of operations •Manage and oversee team of 4 staff•Tax filing, reporting, and compliance (i.e., GST, HST)•Review processes and identify opportunities for improvement•Other duties as requiredJob Requirements:The ideal Controller will have the following skills and experience:•A recognized accounting designation (CPA or ACCA) with a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience•Experience managing teams•Experience in Canadian financial reporting and taxation•Working experience with Sages 50 and/or MS Dynamics 365•Superior oral and written communication skills•Advanced level Microsoft Excel•Strong analytical skills and understanding of business environment•Experience reporting under US GAAP is considered an assetRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
