Our client is currently seeking a Manager, Accounts Payable for a 6-month contract. Reporting to the Controller, the ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounts payable, with proven management experience, and ability to initiate improvement.The Manager, Accounts Payable duties will include: •Oversee AP clerks work, performing final review•Provide oversight on controls, system efficiencies, and payable processes•Review processes and procedures, providing recommendation for improvement•Assist with payment schedules, forecasting, and ensuring accurate tax application•Provide support, mentoring, and training for staff•Liaise with other departments i.e., procurement, HR, and IT, in relation to the AP team•Other duties as requiredJob Requirements:The ideal Manager, Accounts Payable will have the following skills and experience:•A Bachelor’s degree with a focus on accounting, finance, business, or related field•Proven leadership and management experience•Experience in Canadian financial reporting and taxation•Working experience with complex ERP systems, i.e., SAP or MS Dynamics365•Superior oral and written communication skills•Strong analytical skills and understanding of business environmentRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
