Overview:Production Manager, Freshwater OperationsKelly Cove Salmon Ltd., a division of Cooke Aquaculture Inc., a dynamic and growing east coast family company, with Platinum Member status in the Canada’s Best Managed Companies Program, is offering a fulltime opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Company’s team Freshwater Production Manager.Cooke is a global seafood company with operations in North America, Europe, and South America. Our company’s success is driven by our dynamic, highly-skilled and innovative management team, supported by dedicated employees who live in coastal communities and contribute to the local area’s economy and sense of community.We are seeking a Freshwater Production Manager for Kelly Cove Salmon to work out of our Johnson Lake Hatchery. this role will report to the Director of Freshwater Operations.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to leadership in the following:

• Operational leadership to the freshwater hatchery teams.
• Goal setting and performance management of hatchery Management
• Acute detail to safety with a continuous mindset for improvement in safety culture
• Contract grower management
• Working with hatcheries to set goals and production plans with continuous support and follow up
• Vaccination planning, execution and coordination with Fish Health department
• Short term and long term operational and CAPEX plans.
• Coordination and logistics of Smolt transfer.
• Leading and execution of Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Forecasting and communicating the needs of the business to various support and service companies.
• Knowledgeable in both flow through and recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS).
• Knowledge of Trout and Lumpfish culture an asset
• Reporting on key biological performance indicators.
• Reporting on key financial performance indicators.
• Basic understanding and commitment to the requirements of various industry certification schemes (eg BAP).

To be considered for this role you will bring a minimum of 5 years related experience in aquaculture and a deep knowledge of modern recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS).
