Contrans Tank Group in looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Perth.We are looking for a quick, bright, eager individual wanting to grow within our organization where the sky is the limit for your career ambitions.Specific Duties· Schedule and dispatch drivers and equipment to appropriate locations or tank washes according to our customer requests, specifications, or needs· Ensure all drivers and owner operators are fully utilized and monitor their progress throughout the month to ensure Contrans Tank is meeting up to the driver and owner operator expectations· Enter orders into our TMS and confirm that proper information accompanies the order based on customer requirements· Work closely with customer service to address customer questions or concerns in order to provide the service and satisfaction our customers require· Prepare daily work and dispatch schedules and scan/email to the driver and pre-plan/dispatch on our TMS· Abiding by Canada/U.S. transportation regulations on a provincial/state, and federal level· Communicate effectively with drivers, co-workers, and customers and adhere to the company’s communication policy· After hours phone calls as needed· Other duties as requiredEducation/Experience· Post-secondary education in business or logistics· 2-5 years dispatching is a benefit· Understanding of basic transportation regulation both in U.S. and Canada i.e. weight restrictions, hours of service.Working ConditionsFast paced environment where attention to detail, communication, and critical thinking play a major role in our success.
