Position: Child Youth Worker (CYW), Child & Adolescent Mental HealthDepartment: C1 – Mental Health ServicesPosition Status: Temporary Part TimeTemporary Contract End Date (if applicable): August 2023Union: PARANumber of Positions: 1HOURS OF WORK:Please note that the hours of work are approximate and are schedules are subject to change depending on operational needs. PRHC supports and encourages you to pursue whatever path you choose.WHAT YOU’LL DO:The CYC, as a member of the Child Adolescent Unit inpatient multidisciplinary team, promotes a safe and therapeutic environment where patients are treated according to their individual needs.The CYC works with the patient, family and multidisciplinary team to promote patient mental and physical wellness. S/he, as a member of the health care team, and has a significant role in promoting health, preventing illness, and helping clients attain and maintain the highest level of health possible.WHAT YOU’LL BRING:Child and Youth Worker Diploma or equivalent.Demonstrated expertise in mental health service to children/adolescents and their families.Three years relevant work experience.Hospital or residential treatment setting experience including shift work .WHO YOU ARE:Proven excellent interpersonal relationships.Proven excellent communication skills (verbal, non-verbal and written).Demonstrated evidence of commitment to continuing education.Demonstrated knowledge of CYC scope of practice.Proven ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.Current BCLS.Valid CPI course or commitment to receive same within 3 months of hire.OUR COMMITMENT:At PRHC, we take great pride in maintaining an inclusive culture of respect and a diverse workforce that reflects the community we serve.
