  • Provide strategic advice and support in the planning and implementation of marketing strategies and public relations activities
  • Develop relationships with managers, clients and stakeholders to research information and facilitate fish and wildlife project communications
  • Develop business cases, feasibility analyses and briefing materials based on research expertise and consultations
  • Lead the development of performance measures, reporting techniques and tools to monitor and provide ongoing assessment of marketing programs and initiatives
  • Manage and lead marketing projects, negotiation of service agreements and development of detailed project plans and budgets
How do I qualifyMarketing Skills:
  • You have working knowledge of branding, marketing and communication principles, techniques and best practices
  • You have working knowledge of the roles of various communication channels (i.e. advertising, promotions, new media, social media, intranet etc.) and the roles of various media channels, and industry trends that support the ministries fish and wildlife program research and innovation objectives
  • You can provide strategic advice to senior management in the planning and implementation of communication strategies, revenue generation tactics and public relations activities
Technical Knowledge:
  • You have strategic planning, organization, and coordination skill to develop marketing and communication projects
  • You have knowledge of government directions, decision-making and contract management to ensure that plans developed are reflective of the mandate, vison, and values of the ministry
  • You have knowledge of computer operations and relevant software to prepare reports, briefing notes and use innovative and appropriate technologies to support the teams activities
Project Management Skills:
  • You have project management skills to successful manage projects from start to completion including management of external supplies and partners
  • You have leadership skills to guide staff working on implementation of marketing and communication strategies and programs
Communication and Consultation Skills:
  • You have oral and written communication skills, to foster partnerships and prepare reports and business cases
  • You have consultation skills to establish relationships with partners, stakeholders and clients with respect to marketing plans and strategies, and products and services in support of the ministries fish and wildlife program
  • You have advisory and presentation skills to provide strategic advice in the planning and implementation of marketing, communication, and revenue generation strategies
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
  • You can plan and lead research and consultation to gather input for the development of strategic business cases, feasibility analyses and recommendations
  • You can identify issues and apply problem-solving techniques in issue resolution and preparing solutions
  • You can lead development of strategies and plans to implement and improve marketing programs for the ministrys fish and wildlife program
