Job Description

Esso Gas Station Assistant / Associate / Attendant / Coordinator Looking for Full-time, Part-time experienced Gas Station Attendant / Assistant / Associate

  • 6 months to 1-year minimum work experience preferred.
· Candidates possessing a vehicle with a valid driving license G2/ G will be preferred.· Must have gas station experience with OLG, tobacco sales and cash handling.· Must have references, and consent to a background check (including credit and criminal).· We are looking for someone who is honest, punctual, hard-working and takes initiative.· We can offer long-term job opportunities depending on the candidate’s performance.Duties / Responsibilities
  • An exceptional point of sale customer service.
  • Enthusiastic approach to up-selling and assisting customers
  • Vigilant and constant observation to ensure safety on-site at all times.
  • Accurate and quick execution of shift and day closing activities (Counting and balancing the till and running the standard report).
  • Consistent adherence to all site level policies and procedures.
· Be self-motivated, results-oriented and able to work on your own without supervision.· Clean and maintain the site including but is not limited to, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning of washrooms, changing garbage, cleaning gas pumps, etc.· Be asked to Purchase convenience items from the local market.
  • Diligently stock and rotate all store products on shelves and in coolers.
  • Loading /Unloading of stock from the vehicle.
  • Routinely check expiry dates on products and remove the expired products from shelves.
  • Promptly merchandise orders as per your supervisor’s instructions.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
  • Maintain specified inventory and order merchandise. Authorize payments and the return of merchandise.
  • Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising etc.,
  • Hire and train or arrange for the training of new sales staff and monitor and report on performance.
  • Ensure the visual standards and image of the store are maintained, such as store displays, signage and cleanliness
  • Opening and closing the store, managing escalated complaints, developing and implementing marketing strategies, and signing for deliveries.
  • Perform safe drops.
  • Ask for ID when selling restricted products (tobacco & lottery) accordingly to policy.
Working Conditions:
  • Standing for 8 hours a day.
  • Operating various point of sale systems independently.
  • Working alone for the majority of your shift.
  • Fast-paced customer service environment.
  • Lifting required.
