Job Description

Guardian Property Management (GPM) has been servicing the Peterborough area for over 35 years. GPM has two divisions: a rental management division and a condominium management division. GPM is actively recruiting a condominium manager trainee. This is an entry level position with lots of growth potential. Condominium management is an exciting and rewarding career. This is a field that is rapidly growing throughout Ontario. This trainee will receive paid support, training and a license that will create a long-lasting career.Main Responsibilities/

  • Assist a general licensed condo manager in managing the day-to-day operations of a condominium.
  • Assist a general licensed condo manger with board meetings and owners’ meetings. This includes management report, meetings and minutes.
  • Assist a general licensed condo manager with inspections and monthly report.
  • Assist a general licensed condo manager with reviewing and implementing budgets, reserve fund studies, information certificate and other condo requirements.
  • Assist a general licensed condo manager with communications including notices, letters, phone calls and workorders.
Requirements:
  • Cover letter with resume.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow professionally. The successful candidate will have to complete the four AMCO education courses while working for the company. The course costs will be assumed by the company but will require a multi year contract.
  • Ability to provide excellent service to clients.
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle and clean abstract.
  • Prior administration experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with company programs – word, excel, outlook and search engines.
  • Strong time management skills, analytical skills and critical thinking skills.
Not necessary but strong asset:
  • Experience in property and real estate management.
  • Knowledge of various legislation involved in condominium management.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance.
  • Financial experience with budgets, reading financial statements and accounts receivable and payable.
Competitive Salary based on experience.Job Types: Full-time, Internship, ApprenticeshipSalary: $22,934.00-$134,121.00 per yearSchedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
